Candle Care

Candle Care Instructions

To enjoy a clean, long-lasting burn and keep your space feeling like a lakeside retreat, follow these simple care tips:

  1. Trim the Wick – Before each burn, trim your wick to about 1/8 inch. This helps prevent soot and keeps your flame steady.

  2. First Burn Matters – Let your candle burn until the wax pool reaches the edge of the jar (about 2–3 hours). This helps prevent tunneling and sets the stage for even burns every time.

  3. Burn Time – For best results, burn your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time. Always allow the wax to cool before relighting.

  4. Safe & Sound – Place your candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, curtains, or anything flammable. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

  5. Snuff, Don’t Blow – Use a candle snuffer to extinguish your flame. It’s gentler on the wick and reduces smoke.

  6. Know When to Say Goodbye – Stop burning your candle when about ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the jar to prevent overheating.

  7. Storage Tips – Store your candles in a cool, dry place and keep the lid on between burns to protect the scent and keep dust out.
